Event & Festival Identities
One of our contributors, Design By Chelsea, maintains that “when designing for events, festivals, or live experiences, the key is creating an immediate impact that builds excitement and anticipation. The design must captivate and intrigue, encouraging people to engage and ensuring that it is unforgettable.
“Ultimately, it’s about crafting an experience that resonates deeply and effectively and leaves a lasting impression on your attendees.” The festival or event may only last days or weeks, but with a good identity it may endure for years in an audience’s mind and even still be talked about today, along with wearing and using the products sold at the event.
The ID requires creativity and flexibility across various touch points or, as one of our contributors, Thomas Chan, puts it: “Everyone expects a bit of craziness in a festival design. It’s more about provoking instant emotions as opposed to a brand-identity project that should be timeless and rational”.
